Had to cancel trip for 4 travelers (due to medical issues of one traveler) more than 90 days prior to departure and PRIOR to making final payment.
Have filed insurance claim for $10K (non refundable) deposit paid to cruise line. Claim initiated in March 2026...still waiting to hear.

Having to do so much of the claims process online was both a blessing and a curse.
Blessing: faster processing by eliminating mailing time.
Curse: getting this luddite to manage the technical aspects of the computer process. At 82 it was an unwelcome chore.
I've used Squaremouth to purchase travel insurance in the last 10 years or so. I have been satisfied with the service so far. I appreciate the follow-up and support post-travel dates - to check in on possible claims. etc.

Travel Insured International website is not user friendly. For one, it did not have the box for the type of claim I was placing nor space or at least a box to accommodate "other". It was also difficult to upload receipts or documents of proof of cancellation and other relevant documents because the upload maximum was very limited. After reaching out to customer service, I was advised to email them instead, where upload was also limited. I had to send several emails to complete the process. In the end, I was awarded less than the reimbursement I had requested due to the flight cancelation.
I needed to change my beneficiary so i called
Customer service. The rep was one of the nicest people ive ever had the pleasure of speaking to.
Claims process and communication was great!
I appreciate the helpful information provided by customer service, and also the comparison feature on website allowing me to compare plans.
they processed the claim not in a speedy manner but in an acceptable manner. They reimbursed me for the things that they should have reimbursed me for. I don't expect anything more from my travel insurance company
We did not file a claim. So I really cannot make a judgement on the company or the company’s performance.
I was supposed to get emails after I spoke with someone on phone. Two different people said I would get an email, in order to make my claim. I checked my in ox and junk mail and never saw one.
I have submitted my claim for medical coverage—I got an eye, ear, sinus & throat infection half way through my trip.
Their customer service has been friendly. But the amount of documentation they want to prove my claim is excessive—hotel bill & plane tickets on a medical claim out of state? Their forms are repetitive & require information that was not provided on standard medical doctors notes or after Appointment summaries. I had to dig on the internet to get them phone & FAX numbers they required. Why have they not built this all into their app or customer service system, for seamless operation? I would rather have them pick to Urgent Care I visited & the pharmacy, so that I didn’t have to do days of work for them when I am still recovering!
I submitted some information initially and omitted something. I had a very explicit email and responded to that. Anytime I called customer service they couldn’t have been any more professional. Very pleased with the experience so far.
