The trip was canceled because of serious illness of 1 of the passengers. I want to file a claim for lost airfares. The rest of the trip was refunded by Travelocity, but Delta has only issued ecredits and we need refunds because all 4 passengers are separate and the travel will never occur.
Thank you!!
I am in process of preparing receipts for my claim of trip interruption
My return trip was interrupted
I need help with my claim. I had to repay air just to get home
We're sorry to hear about your trip interruption. Our records indicate that when you contacted assistance, you had already paid to rebook your flight. Because those expenses had already been incurred, the matter needed to be handled through the claims process for reimbursement consideration. We're here to help! Our claims manager has attempted to reach you by both phone and email to gather additional information and provide support. Please contact us at your convenience so we can assist you with your claim.
My wife broke her hip and arm on March 20th. Our trip was to depart on June 18th. She underwent two separate surgeries and was admitted to a rehab hospital and an assisted living facility. There was absolutely no way she could travel ( She is still in rehab weekly Oct 21st), even now. All the information required was sent to them in a very timely fashion. They kept coming back to me wanting more information when it was obvious that our claim was legitimate and should be paid. Finally received a check October 20th, way to long a period to wait. I would never, ever use them again. Horrible customer service and timeliness.
We're very sorry to hear about your wife's injuries and hope she continues to make progress in her recovery. We understand your frustration with the length of the claims process. In this case, the review required additional coordination because you advised that a separate travel insurance claim had also been filed with another insurance provider. Before a final determination could be made, we needed to obtain and review the outcome of that claim to ensure benefits were properly coordinated and applied. Once that information was received and reviewed, your claim was approved and processed for payment. We appreciate your patience and wish your wife all the best in her continued recovery.
I had ode aligns with them
Thank you for your review and for choosing Aegis for your travel protection. While we hope your travels go smoothly and you never need to use your coverage, our team is always here to help if you do. Safe travels!
Smooth
That's great to hear, Kathleen! Thanks so much for taking a moment to share your experience.
We are totally unimpressed with Aegis and their administrator. We submitted our claim, with all required documentation, more than 3 weeks ago and have received no correspondence from them. They do not respond to emails. Our claims do not show up on their website either so we have no way to track what is happening. We have called and spoken to customer service, and they confirmed the claims were received and stated they were in processing and should show up on the website shortly. That was more than 2 weeks ago. Still no response to email inquiries.
Thank you for your feedback, Antonia. Claims typically take approximately 15 business days to review. Due to unusually high claims volume, your claim was reviewed three business days beyond that timeframe, and we sincerely apologize for the delay.
We're happy to share that the majority of your claim has been approved for payment, and you will receive an email shortly with instructions on how to receive your funds. Our team has also requested a few missing documents needed to evaluate the remaining expenses. Please check your email for further details.
We appreciate your patience and encourage you to contact us at (800) 774-3959 if you have any questions.
Interaction thus far has been fine. Had to cancel trip due to death in the family. Customer service provided info and claim form quickly. Submitted claim 9/23. Got confirmation of receipt from AGIS 9/28. Waiting for further response.
Our sincere condolences to you and your family for your loss. We’re glad our team was able to provide the information you needed to get your claim started quickly. Claims are typically reviewed within 15 business days once received. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to call us if you have any questions or if there’s anything we can do to support you through the process.
Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip the day before, as my wife fell and banged her head on the tile floor on tuesday.
She ended up with a concussion. On the 17th we went to Immediate Medical where they gave her a cat scan and X-rays, and told her to go home and rest.
I have contacted Aegis and they sent me paperwork to fill out.

We’re so sorry to hear about your wife’s fall, Darryl. We hope she’s feeling better and making a smooth recovery. We know how disappointing it is to cancel a trip at the last minute, but we’re glad you’ve connected with our team and received the claim paperwork. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance along the way.
Hard to file a claim and 30 days for a response is not acceptable
Thanks for your feedback, John! We understand that gathering all the necessary documents can be frustrating, but we're only a phone call away should you need any support. After reviewing the communication history, we see that our team emailed you to confirm your claim had been initiated on September 10, along with the expected processing timeline. We were still within 15 business days when this review was posted. We’re happy to share that your claim was approved for payment. You should receive an email within the next few days with instructions to select your preferred payment method. We appreciate your patience and hope this has been resolved to your satisfaction.
